I DON'T GET THIS

I was at the supermarket earlierand this couple (around 25) withtheir 2 kids (about 5 and 8) at the counter getting ready to get their groceries rang up. Mind you the cart is full to capacity with food. The guy is behind the cart leaning over it as if he is pushing the cart and the woman is in front of the cart. The woman started taking things out the cart and putting it on the counter. The whole time she wasthe one doing it and the whole time he's still behind and leaningon the cart talking to the kids which are right beside the cart. He never moved to help her not once to hand every not even 1 item. That's my first issue. Now the cashier is ringing up thefood, bagging it and putting it towards the front of her area. First you would think that the guy would at least push the cart to the front where all the 10 bags of groceries are now sittingbut again he DOES NOTHING. After everything has been paid for the cashier started helping take the bags from her front area and bringing it around to help the other lady put everything back in the cart. Where is this guy that looks to be 25, husky and looks strong enough to handle all the bags by himself? Everyone together nowanswer. STILL BEHIND THE CART. Please somebody what is wrong with this picture? By the way, the groceries came to $205.80
